Overview
After the End invites readers into a world where ancient machinery, the cosmos, biology, and the human condition intersect. Through detailed, cryptic illustrations, Daniel Martin Diaz blends science and mysticism, creating visual compositions that echo scientific diagrams and symbolic manuscripts. His work unites the microcosmic and macrocosmic, from cellular structures to celestial bodies, exploring consciousness, frequency, memory, and extraterrestrial mystery. Influenced by Renaissance iconography, alchemy, anatomical engravings, and scientific notation, Diaz examines the evolving relationship between humanity and technology. Rendered in gouache, graphite, ink, and watercolor on found paper, these works act as both aesthetic pieces and contemplative portals, inviting viewers to reflect on the unknown and our place within it.
Artist’s Process
Diaz draws inspiration from scientific and philosophical theories, reinterpreting complex ideas through intimate graphite sketches that form the foundation of each piece.
